Spoilt for choice in the College Sweet shop

The playing field in Further Education is changing. The Governments agenda is to address the skills gaps and to raise the skills of the nations work force. This agenda has been driven from the Lord Leitch report 'World Class Skills' December 2006.

College's are increasing their engagement with employers to draw down employer responsive funding. College's are positioning themselves as providers of choice with employers, but are they? Are college's truly offering employer what they want or simply directing them towards funded provision?

What are your thoughts/experiences/perceptions of the Governments Train to Gain programme?
